The Care Home Olympics ended with a closing ceremony at Ancholme Leisure Centre on Thursday 7 March.

13 care homes completed a series of challenges over six weeks designed to keep them active and well during the winter months.

Winners were rewarded at a certificate and medal presentation hosted by the NL Active Lifestyles team, plus enjoyed some light refreshments and further activities.

  • Week 1 – Make & Create Week – Ready, Steady, Create – Wrawby Wonderers and The Beechcroft Boys
  • Week 2 – Music Week – Bingo-Cise –All Linclusive and Wrawby Wonderers
  • Week 3 – Sensory Week – Bushtucker Trial – Wheelie Hungry Birches and Bupa Boppers.
  • Week 4 – Team Week – Ball Throw – Watermill Warriers and Wrawby Wonderers.
  • Week 5 – Target Week – Bean-Bag Toss – The Wheelie Hungry Birches and Move It, Don’t Lose it!
  • Week 6 – Quiz Week – The Circle – Wonderers and Wheely Hungry Birches.
  • Team Name – The Change Makers
  • Most residents involved – Beechcroft House
  • Creativity – Randolph Warriors
  • Team Spirit – All Linclusive
  • Special Recognition – Wendy and the Randolph Warriors
  • Overall Winner – Wrawby Wonderers.
