If you look after a family member, friend or neighbour, unpaid, because they can't manage day to day without your support, you are a carer.

Carers Active April is back!

Throughout April, LiveWell North Lincolnshire is proud to join Carers UK’s nationwide Carers Active April campaign — a month dedicated to shining a light on the incredible unpaid carers in our communities and encouraging everyone to explore ways to stay active, connected, and supported.

Each week, we’ll be sharing a roundup of activities, groups, fitness classes and events in North Lincolnshire designed to help carers boost their wellbeing, try something new, and enjoy well-deserved time for themselves. From gentle movement sessions and wellbeing workshops to community activities and digital resources, there’s something for carers of all ages and abilities across our area.

If you are an unpaid carer, start your active April with a Fun and Flex session at the Dementia Café in Barton on Wednesday 1 April 1pm – 3pm hosted by North Lincolnshire Community Wellbeing team and Carers Support Service. For details contact Carers Support on 01652 650585.

Unpaid carers are invited to take much needed break and have a cuppa. Collect your teabag from any NL Active Leisure Centre throughout April.

North Lincolnshire’s Community Wellbeing team invite you to their gardening group at Wheatfield Allotments, Bottesford on Thursday 2 April between 10am – 12pm. Come along for some fresh air and try your hand at some gardening.

Whether you’re an unpaid carer yourself or you support someone who is, we invite you to follow along, get involved, and help us celebrate the vital role carers play every day. Let’s make this Carers Active April our most empowering and uplifting yet.
