Learning Disability week begins on Monday 15 to Sunday 21 June 2026.

Learning Disability Week is a national campaign that highlights the experiences of over 1.5 million people in the UK with learning disabilities and a call for an inclusive society.

The main action is to encourage everyone to challenge the daily barriers that people with learning disabilities face and celebrate their contributions to create an inclusive society.

Councils, charities, community groups host events to celebrate inclusion for people with learning disabilities in or near your local area. Examples include outdoor events, networking events and coffee mornings to make people with learning disabilities feel more included.

LiveWell has many activities listed suitable for people with learning disabilities to connect with their community, make new friends and keep physically active including:

  1. Street Sport – Active Communities
  2. Do Something Different – Active Communities
  3. Speech and Language Therapy groups
