Parent and Pushchair Wellbeing Walk: Barton
17 July 2023, by Suzanne WatsonBrigg/Barton residents, get ready to embrace a fantastic opportunity to enhance your well-being and connect with other parents in the area! The Community Wellbeing Team is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Parent and Pushchair Wellbeing Walk, designed to support parents, provide an opportunity for new friendships to be formed, and provide useful information and guidance on various topics such as breastfeeding. Best of all, this walk is entirely free to attend, with no booking required!
In collaboration with lovely people at the local 0-19 service, the Community Wellbeing Team aims to create a nurturing environment where parents and their little ones can embark on a wellness journey together. The walk will offer a chance to engage in invigorating physical activity while benefiting from the shared experiences and knowledge of other parents.
The first ever in our series of Parent and Pushchair Wellbeing Walks is scheduled to start on Wednesday 2 August at 10am and will continue every Wednesday thereafter. The picturesque Baysgarth will serve as our starting point. Prior to the walk, parents will have the opportunity to gather, meet fellow participants, and engage in friendly conversations. This will foster a sense of community and support, making the experience all the more enjoyable.
One remarkable aspect of our walk is the ongoing coproduction opportunities offered to parents. The Community Wellbeing Team recognizes the importance of tailoring the walk to individual preferences. As the program progresses, parents will have the chance to actively contribute to shaping the walk, ensuring it aligns with their personal desires and aspirations. This collaborative approach ensures that every participant’s voice is heard and valued.
For any inquiries or further information about the Parent and Pushchair Wellbeing Walk, please don’t hesitate to contact Aimee Edwards at aimee.edwards@northlincs.gov.uk, our lovely Community Wellbeing Activator who will be leading the walk. Aimee will be more than happy to address any questions or concerns you may have.
The Community Wellbeing Team extends their heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in making this initiative possible. With your support, we can create a thriving community where parents and their little ones can embark on a journey of well-being and companionship. Let’s take a step forward together towards a brighter future!
