Gardening Group - Allotment
Are you keen to get out in the fresh air and would like to meet new people? Do you have an interest in gardening and growing your own vegetables?
We have an amazing space at Wheatfield allotment, Bottesford Lane, Scunthorpe, where we have been working to prepare, plant and grow vegetable produce.
When ready, this produce is then shared with our allotment community group, food banks and our very own North Lincolnshire Healthy Lifestyles team, who support people to produce healthy meals.
The allotment space also offers wide paths and raised beds with handrails to allow access for wheelchair users. There are parking spaces available too.
This is a friendly, welcoming group which not only offers the physical side of things but also the social side, which contributes to our mental health and wellbeing.
Would you like to be part of our community group sharing knowledge, the love of gardening and growing of your own produce? Why not join us at this free to attend group on Thursday's 10am-12.30pm. Booking required.
If interested, please contact The Community Wellbeing Team on 01724 297214, Pauline on 07717 587651 or Carol on 07825 858180 for more information.
