About 20-21 Welcome to 20-21 Visual Arts Centre The entrance to 20-21 Visual Arts Centre 20-21 Visual Arts Centre is housed in the former St. John’s Church building in Church Square, Scunthorpe. Since the gallery’s doors first opened in 2001 we have developed a reputation for offering a varied and exciting exhibition programme of contemporary art, craft and design. We show around 20 exhibitions per year, across six exhibition spaces, and aim to be as ambitious and creatively diverse. As well as bringing arts and culture to the local community, we aim to exhibit art by groups that are traditionally under represented in mainstream galleries. Encompassing a wide range of media, subjects and artistic approaches, we present a mixture of in-house curated exhibitions, touring shows and exhibitions developed in partnership with fellow creative organisations. We also produce and deliver our own touring exhibitions to other galleries nationally, and offer an extensive education programme for all ages and abilities. We’re an Arts Council England [National Portfolio Organisation (NPO] which means funding thanks to tax payers and National Lottery players plays a huge part in supporting our work.
