Short Breaks + Awareness
This type of foster care provides specialist care and support for children and young people with disabilities on a short-term basis. This could include day care or a limited number of overnight stays per month. It’s a part time role, so some carers have jobs, others are full time parents – it’s the combination of a carer’s life experience, professional skills and personal qualities that are important. You will be fully supported with comprehensive training, a fostering social worker and social support.
