U3A Scunthorpe and District - Woodland Wanderers
The Scunthorpe & District U3A has several interest groups which are individual organisations offering a wide range of interests and activities.
All interest groups have a leader who arranges the programme and secures a venue. Meetings take place in members homes or a commercial venue. If in a commercial venue it is usual for the members to pay a small fee by way of a contribution towards the cost. Some may also charge for refreshments. Each group will nominate a contact person who acts as a contact point for enquires.
Some interest groups will have a regular meeting day, perhaps every second Tuesday for example. Please contact us for further information on the groups you are interested in if the day/time are not listed here.
Please note that only full paid-up members of the U3A may join the Interest Groups.
This Group is held in various Locations NOT Crosby Collective. Please contact us for more information.

Welcome to North Lindsey U3A For those retired but not tired of life! Join us on a journey of enjoyment, friendship and discovery. If any of the following apply to you, then the U3A may be for you: Are you retired or semi-retired? Do you want to meet other people with similar interests to your own? Do you want to follow up on one of your interests? Are you looking for a new interest or hobby? Are you lonely and in need of friendship? We welcome anyone who is keen to join with us to promote wellbeing, learning and friendship among the retired and semi-retired community. The U3A stands for 'The University of the Third Age' - the first age being childhood, the second age is caring or employment and the third - retirement. We never stop learning! That is the basic ethos of the U3A but with the emphasis on fun, friendship, sociability and enjoyment! The motto of the U3A is, Learn, Laugh, Live and that ethos is shared by all the members.
